Room Reservations

The front desk at Media Services takes room reservation requests for two large media teaching rooms and five smaller conference-style meeting rooms. Each space is mediated with a resident computer as well as technology to display media on a large screen. Advance room reservations can be made several days to several months in advance by faculty or staff once semester-long class schedules have been published. For inquiries regarding room availability or room sizes, see the grid below or contact Media Services' front desk staff at media@santarosa.edu or 527-4261.

As part of SRJC's ongoing roll-out of the centralized Event Management System (EMS) for room and resource bookings districtwide, you may also reserve these and other District spaces using the EMS Web application below.

4224   Media Prod. Studio - specialized lab space
for media, film, & photography courses

If one of these 1st floor Doyle spaces is not available or does not suit your capacity needs, there are additional meeting and classrooms on the upper floors of the Library, such as Doyle 4401 (LRET), Doyle 4421 (CETL), Doyle 4327 (Library teaching lab), etc.

Beyond the walls of Doyle Library, numerous AV-equipped meeting rooms in other Santa Rosa buildings are available for booking consideration within EMS, including recent media upgrades to Plover 526 (A&R), Bertolini 4733 (VPSS), Button 3717 (HR), Bailey 1372 (VPAA), 1880 Albany (EH&S), Maggini 2825 (BAD), Race 4061 (Health Sciences), and more.

Each of these conference spaces features a large Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) 4K resolution display, resident PC and Zoom web conferencing capabilities.  Many of these rooms also support BYOD with Solstice, for digital collaboration and wireless presentation needs.

Production Studios

Note that the Doyle 1st floor Production Studio (4224) in Media Services is a specialized lab space that requires a trained instructor or technician to operate, and may be limited to specific courses and programs when our offices are open.  For faculty and staff looking for another recording studio space to capture lessons, record interviews, use learning glass technology, or make promotional videos for your courses/programs, we encourage you to visit the 3rd floor of Doyle Library and try out the CETL Studio (4422), which opened in Fall 2018.  Employees may sign up here for time slots in the CETL Studio, with hands-on support from the Distance Education team.

Zoom Videoconferencing in our rooms

All of our rooms on the first floor of Doyle Library have Zoom capabilities. To schedule a webconference outside of EMS, contact Jo Ann Gaglione at 778-4167 or jgaglione@santarosa.edu.

We encourage those who have interest in webconferencing to host their events on the first floor of Doyle Library when possible so our technicians can best support the technology set up needs. We do support Skype and Skype for Business in limited capacities, but Zoom has been adopted as the standard webconferencing solution throughout the California Community College system.

Zoom is offered through ConferZoom for SRJC administrators, staff and faculty of the California Community College system, funded by a grant from the Chancellor's Office. Please visit the website for the sign-up form or Media's Zoom Page to get started.
